SHIPPING POLICY

For Old DARBY customers, shipping is always free.  Most of our products ship the day after you place your order, and generally take 2 to 5 days to receive. Large or bulk items, including furniture, usually delivers in less than 2 weeks.  All products, unless otherwise stated, are shipped from the U.S. or Canada. Some products, such as made-to-order, monogrammed, or personalized products take longer (up to 21 days) to receive.  Please check the item descriptions on these products for more details on expected shipping times.

OldDerby.com is a marketplace, and is not a promisor of quality.  We strive to source top-quality products from reputable manufactures and craftsmen that are making a difference in the world or their local communities.  Each company has different return policies and warranties, so please review the information below.

Furniture and bulk items must be inspected upon delivery for defects.  If delivered items are damaged upon delivery, recipient must refuse delivery.  Upon acceptance, recipient has 7 days to return the item for any reason.  Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Returns due to cause are subject to our warranty terms outlined in the Warranty and Remedies section, below. 

14-day standard return policy on all other products.  Please return the product in the original packaging, in unworn/unused condition.  Some products may be returned up to 30 days following receipt, please contact us at support@olddarby.com if you are unsure about whether your product may be returned for a refund.  

Customized, personalized, and monogrammed items cannot be returned, sales on these products are final.  

Warranties, expressed in the item descriptions, cover condition and quality of the product.  Warranties do not cover normal discoloration or deterioration due to normal wear and tear from use.  Manufacturing abnormalities, or other quality issues that are beyond the scope of normal wear, are covered by the stated product warranty and conform with the laws of your state, province, or country, including the UCC.

We stand behind the quality of everything we sell, that’s why all household design products (furniture, lighting, and décor) are backed by a twelve (12) months comprehensive warranty. Other products are covered under a 90-day warranty, or as prescribed by law under the buyer-recipient's jurisdiction. 

 

WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE A PROBLEM ?

Old Darby is committed to the excellence of its products and provides superior customer service. A very responsive after sales department is available to help you with any queries after your purchase. Most issues are resolved within 72 business hours.

 

WHAT ARE YOUR WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS ?

Old Darby warrants all goods for a period of twelve (12) months under normal usage, to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Old Darby's liability under this warranty is to repair or replace (at its discretion) any part or product covered by this (or any implied) warranty free of charge.

 

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage arising from abnormal use, abuse or negligence

  • Products which have not been maintained, or which have been modified

  • Any indirect or consequential loss

This warranty applies only to the original purchase, the warranty is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required. To the extent committed by law, all other warranties, express or implied, are excluded. All goods subject to warranties must be returned to us in original packaging for inspection and assessment at your cost. The warranty is valid in Canada and the United States only, and is non-transferrable. We may not offer warranty services on items shipped internationally.

Warranty does not apply to commercial usage or shall be void should the original purchase change ownership.

Get a refund

For refused deliveries due to defect and/or other damage:

Refunds are issued upon notification of refused delivery and customer request for refund. Refunds on refused delivery returns are processed within 24hrs of request and usually post to the customers account in 3-7 business days (depending on the terms of the recipient banking institution). 

For general returns: 

 

Refunds will process within 24hrs of receipt of returned item and will usually post to the customers account in 3-7 business days (depending on the terms of the recipient banking institution).

In
order to get a refund, please contact Old Darby to request a refund. They can let you know if a return is possible and how much the refund will be, according to their own return policy.

Once we receive the refund, the refund amount will show up in your loan timeline within 3–10 business days, and your balance will be updated.

While you’re waiting for your refund, please continue to make any monthly payments that are due.

Refund is less than balance

If your refund is less than your total purchase balance, it might not lower or cover your next monthly payment. Instead, you can expect fewer monthly payments, a smaller final payment, or both.

 

Refund is more than balance

If your refund is more than your purchase balance, you will get back the difference, minus any interest you have paid. Affirm will credit your payment method within 3–10 business days.

 

Getting a refund by check

When you get a refund for a returned purchase, Affirm refunds your money back to your original payment method. That means if you made payments by check (including money orders, MoneyGram, cashier's check, and so on), you will receive your refund by check.

However, there are a few cases when you will get a refund by check when you originally paid with a debit card or ACH payment:

 

  • The refund was initiated 180 days or more after the original payment.

  • Your original payment method is closed or no longer active. Since Affirm cannot issue a refund to a different account, Affirm will refund by check.

  • Our payment processor is unable to process the refund back to the original payment method.


To ensure you receive your refund in a timely manner, we want to make sure your address information on file is up to date. In most instances you should expect to receive your check within 30 days of when you became eligible for the refund.

If you overpaid a loan payment, you can request a refund here. You will receive the refund by check if you made the payment by check. 

 

Refunds for paid interest

Unfortunately, we do not refund paid interest. When you make payments, the funds are first applied to the accrued unpaid interest and then the principal. Since interest is the only cost of borrowing with Affirm, it is not refundable.



Where is my refund?

To see the status of your refund:

  1. Sign in to your Affirm account.

  2. Navigate to Pay.

  3. Select your purchase.

  4. Your refund will show up as an adjustment in your purchase details.

Don’t see it? Your refund will show up within 3–10 business days.

Order issues and cancellations

 

You’ll need to initiate any cancellations or returns with Old Darby first according to their policies, then we’ll update your Affirm loan after the cancellation or return is fully processed.

If you haven't received an order confirmation from the store

This probably means your order wasn’t fully processed by the store. To make sure, look for the purchase in your Affirm account. If it’s not there, check with the store.

 

If you made a down payment on an order that wasn’t processed

If your order wasn't processed, your down payment usually won’t be processed either. However, you might see a pending hold for the down payment in your account (the one you used to make the down payment). This doesn’t mean that the down payment went through, and you’ll usually see the hold drop from your account within 7–10 business days. In other words, you won’t see a refund for the down payment because it was never processed in the first place. 
 

 

If your purchase is still processing

Right after you check out with Affirm, the store finalizes your order and prepares it for shipment. During this time, your purchase is in merchant processing.

Once the merchant finalizes your purchase, you'll get a loan confirmation from Affirm with your final payment schedule.
